About Us

What are the benefits of working with E4A?

This is a question we are often asked by staff in the many schools we visit and work with. The simple answer is we provide a whole school approach to Enterprise Education through challenge days, staff development and professional support.

We listen to what schools want and design effective solutions to meet and exceed their expectations, using many years’ experience at senior levels in business and commerce contextualised by a skilled educational professional. This unique combination enhances the educational experience for students within your school.

E4A has invested over 4 man years in developing a wide range of challenge days that meet the needs of the students, teachers, Ofsted and associated stakeholders. E4A’s challenge days represent part of delivering the statutory minimum 5 days of Enterprise at Key Stage 4 and now also prepare students at Key Stage 3. Many schools look to run whole day challenge events for full or part year groups, linking these activities back into the curriculum.

E4A offers Challenge days that:

  • Are linked to the curriculum
  • Follow the Enterprise process
  • Stretch and develop the Enterprise capabilities of your students
  • Are linked to your school’s specialism and provide a wide choice
  • Cover Key Stage 3, 4 and the 14-19 agenda
  • Use Mentors who are trained and paid
  • Use a professional team to deliver each day so that you can relax. (I.e. we don’t use volunteers and our team are trained)
  • Work with children in a ratio of 1:25 so we can work in large areas or classrooms
  • Can be used as multi-school challenges

E4A provides a sympathetic ear to your needs: we can develop new products to meet new demands.

E4A recognises the need to develop enterprise in the curriculum and through consultation with teachers has developed a number of staff development activities. These are normally workshop based and delivered by facilitators who understand the difficult issues that teachers face.

These activities are as follows:

  • Enterprise in the curriculum free one-hour session
  • Effective teamwork - suitable for both academic and support staff
  • Continuing Professional Development for teachers in WRL & Enterprise

E4A also works with schools in other ways to help to deliver overall school improvement and support through:

  • WRL & Enterprise education consultancy/advice and support to schools
  • The development of systems to record student activity

Our Skills Pledge

To be successful in your personal and professional life you need to continuously develop your knowledge and skills. Our theme is to instil an enterprising attitude in your approach to life.

We rapidly develop your transferable skills - leadership, team work, problem solving, innovation, and creativity. This creates a confident “can do approach” to your work and leisure.

Our approach applies equally well to individuals and teams. The achievements from a high performing team are far greater than the combined inputs from the individuals.

Our professional, trained team is essential to the success of our business. We have made our pledge to their individual development as part of the Government’s ongoing initiative to develop the skills base of the UK in order to compete with the rest of the world. >>more
