Enterprising Business
Overview
Your students will develop the skills needed to investigate and research problems within a failing business. They will utilise enterprise skills to deliver a viable business proposal within time constraints.

Contents
Your students, working in teams of 6-8, have the challenge to develop a realistic turnaround strategy for a failing business.
After a plenary introductory session to set the challenge, your students have various tasks and roles to perform:
- Evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of the current business
- Researching into competitors and develop effective marketing and sales strategies
- Inputting decisions on staff levels and marketing into business simulation software that evaluates sales and potential profits
- Creating a business proposal and presenting it as a team, supported with a presentation board displaying their marketing and other relevant materials.
Learning Styles
The day is based on group work, role plays and exercises to encourage participation. Business people provide professional delivery, enabling your students to learn through practical experience. Business activity, teamwork, time management and presentations are just some examples. This day is appropriate for all abilities.
