Enterprising Humanity
Overview
Your students will develop the skills needed to investigate and research a problem or issue that impacts on humanity. They will also develop the enterprise skills needed to deliver sound solutions with reasoned argument.

At the end of the Enterprise Challenge Day, your students will:
- Have planned and carried out reliable research into a problem or issue that impacts on humanity.
- Have developed reasoned sound argument to support their point of view.
- Have worked together as a team making decisions and viable solutions to support their point of view.
- Have produced, delivered a written seminar paper and a presentation orally with suitable visual aids and marketing materials.
- Be able to evaluate personal performance to aid future development.

Content
Your students, working in teams of 6 to 8, are set the challenge to identify & research an important issue that impacts humanity. They identify the causes of the problems, develop viable solutions and present their solutions to stakeholders as a short seminar. After a plenary introductory session to set the challenge, your students have various tasks and roles to perform including:
- A clear investigation of the issue
- Identification of how problems can be eliminated or improved
- Developing clear ideas of how improvements can be made, along with supporting arguments
- Selling their ideas or solutions to key stakeholders including one of the following: politicians, corporate organisations, charities or the general public

Learning Styles
The day is based on group work, role plays and exercises to encourage participation. Business people provide professional delivery, enabling your students to learn through practical experience. Business activity, teamwork, time management and presentations are just some examples. This day is appropriate for all abilities.

- Awards are given to the team with the best proposal and demonstrating the most commitment to teamwork and performance.
- All your students receive a certificate of achievement.
