Enterprising Teamwork

Overview

Your students will develop and practise the communication, teamwork and negotiation skills required by people in the workplace.

Content

After a plenary introductory session, each challenge lasts 40 – 50 minutes, with time allowed for planning, an action stage and a performance review.  Groups tackle the challenges on a carousel basis during the day.

Your students undertake 4 challenges, working in groups of 6 to 8:

• Design & build a bridge
• Lifeboat negotiation exercise
• Letter point word skills
• Build a thrill water slide

Learning Styles

The day is based on group work, role plays and exercises to encourage participation. Business people provide professional delivery, enabling your students to learn through practical experience. Business activity, teamwork, time management and presentations are just some examples. This day is appropriate for all abilities.

Awards

• Awards are given to the team with the best proposal and demonstrating the most commitment to teamwork and performance. 
• All your students receive a certificate of achievement.

Cost

The cost of the challenge day is £1000 plus VAT for the first 50 students and then £250 plus VAT for every 25 students thereafter. This means a typical year group of 200 students will cost £2500 plus VAT. (Your school will be able to reclaim the VAT.)

However, we can reduce this cost for this day if your teachers are able to be involved. A typical cost then falls to £1200 plus VAT.
